New York based singer-songwriter Lila Blue has been performing and composing professionally since the age of eleven, and has proven herself to be an accomplished recording artist, theatrical composer, and multi-instrumentalist. Lila’s music has been featured in several films including an original score for the MTV documentary, “Each and Every Day,” exploring mental health through the eyes of young people who have attempted suicide or have struggled with suicidal thoughts. Lila Downs is one of the most influential artists in Latin America. She has one of the world's most singular voices, and is known for her charismatic performances. Her own compositions often combine genres and rhythms as diverse as Mexican rancheras and corridos, boleros, jazz standards, hip-hop, cumbia, and North American folk music. Her music often focuses on social justice, immigration, and women's issues. Lila has toured around the world performing in such renowned venues as Carnegie Hall, Auditorio Nacional de Mexico, and the Hollywood Bowl, as well as on the Latin Grammys and Academy Awards telecasts. Throughout her illustrious career, Lila has won many awards including a Grammy® and five Latin Grammys®.

THE LANTERN TOUR
PRODUCER
Launched in 2018 by legendary artists Emmylou Harris and Steve Earle, The Lantern Tour melds art and advocacy, and benefits the Women’s Refugee Commission (WRC). The all-acoustic, in-the-round concerts create unique artist collaborations and spotlight the stories and struggles of migrants and refugees. Along with Emmylou and Steve, participating artists have included Sheryl Crow, Jackson Browne, Brandi Carlile, Gaby Moreno, Amy Ray, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin, Joan Osborne, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Ruby Amanfu, Thao, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Mary Gauthier, Becca Mancari and many more.
WRC is on the front lines in protecting the rights and lives of displaced people fleeing danger and crisis. From working to defend the human rights of families seeking safety at the US border with Mexico, women and girls in Afghanistan and Ukraine, and marginalized refugee populations, including persons with disabilities, older women, and the displaced LGBTQI+ community, WRC seeks to create a better world for refugees.
